Book Review - The Timeless Triad by Dr.Lakshmi Ajoy

 


Three best friends in their teens stumble upon a strange rock formation inside an ancient garden. Everything about the formation feels mystic. As they decode its mysteries, the three set off on the adventure of their lives.

The narrative is extremely soothing to read, bringing to life, realms and worlds that entice the reader with their sheer mystique and beauty. The description takes the readers on an unforgettable journey laden with secrets and metaphors that can be applied to everything around us today.

The characters are well-portrayed. The teens with their sheer curiosity and fresh innocence own the story. The conversations between the teens and the other characters that are gradually introduced in the story form the essence of the whole narrative.

I loved the way the author has used metaphors through imbalances in realms. An unforgettable lesson that the story teaches is that we live in an infinite universe which we will never be able to fathom in our lifetimes, but with which we are intimately connected. Every action of ours impacts at universal level. Balance is the key to ensuring harmony in an otherwise chaotic world. The story teaches this lesson in a way that will appeal to readers of all ages.

As someone who loves astronomy and archeological mysteries, I loved this story for its engaging narration and beautiful portrayal of worlds that we can only live in our imagination. The story has the element of danger and mystique but is soothing and calming to read. The conversations are timeless in their wisdom and teach us unforgettable lessons.

I would recommend this book to readers of all ages for a calming and poignant read.

Vishu - The Gift That Keeps On Giving!

  Vishu has been my favorite festival right since my childhood. The various rituals associated with this festival make it unique and very, very special. The main ritual is seeing the Vishu kani – the first thing to see when you wake up in the morning. Vishu Kani is an assortment of rice, pulses, coins, notes, jewellery, vegetables and fruits placed in a pattern. A mirror is placed strategically in the center of this assortment, the purpose being that all the objects kept in the Kani are reflected in the mirror. This signifies abundance. An idol or photo of Lord Krishna is usually placed along with the platter of fruits and vegetables. Vishu being the New Year for Keralites, this ritual symbolizes seeing something very auspicious the very first thing in the morning after waking up.
